Le avventure di Orlandino

Milone and Berta are on a ship because the emperor Charlemagne, who is Berta’s brother, banished them.

 

During the trip, they are attacked by pirate ship. The paladin Milone turned away them, and they arrived in a beach where Milone leaves his wife alone.

 

Berta is in pregnant and an old shepherd helps her but, after few years, he dies. Berta has a child called Orladino.

 

When Orlandino becomes a boy, he goes to a city called Sutri where in a joust he wines, even if he is the youngest.

 

After few days, he decides to go to the royal palace of Charlemagne, stealing every kind of food.

 

But, during the dinner, Charlemagne find him and Orlandino escape. The paladins arrive in the cave where he live with his mother and the paladins understand that she is Charlemagne’s sister.

 

So, at the end Charlemagne invite Berta and Orlandino to his palace.
