The wizard Malagigi helps his cousin rinaldo to become a real knight, helping him to conquer a suit of armour and an horse.

After a long trip, Rinaldo with his mother the duchess Beatrice arrive in England but on the beach a thief attacked them. So Rinaldo draws the sword and he kills the bad thief.

Meanwhile, a young girl arrives there and invites Rinaldo and Beatrice to he magician Sibiliana, who is a friend of Malagigi.

Next day, Rinaldo is walking when a merchant of armours proposes him to conquer the sword Fusberta and the horse Baiardo.

So, Rinaldo arrives in Vienna where during a battle kills the giant Atlante and he finds the sword Fusberta.

After there, he has to carry out the second promise but, it is very hard to find out Boiardo ecause it is a wild horse that pots out of action many knights….
